As homelessness deepened across Britain, John joined the Crisis team as a storytelling producer, documenting the experiences of people affected by it.

John built enduring relationships, carefully developing the trust needed for people to tell their stories with honesty, dignity and agency.

Through a series of photographic and film shoots, he brought together those affected, creators and high-profile supporters. The resulting work offered a wider audience insight into the realities people face, while helping Crisis build awareness, understanding and support.
