Three Films about the August Riots
Over a twenty four hour period in August I made three short films about the August riots. Motivated by the official silence that fell over Britain just weeks after the riots had ended, we wanted to see if the political paralysis within the establishment was mirrored in the public imagination.
Instead we quickly discovered that people possessed strong views on the causes and character of the riots. The theme that permeated most conversations was a crippling erosion of adult authority.
