British-Somali chef Ahmed Jama returned to Mogadishu with a simple idea: to create places where people could eat together again after two decades of war.

After suicide attacks on his restaurants killed twenty people, his determination to stay open became an extraordinary story of personal courage and part of a much bigger struggle over Somalia’s future.
