An investigation into the illegal kidney trade, from patients facing death to people in Bangladesh and India driven to sell a kidney for cash through the network of recruiters, brokers, lawyers and doctors that connects them.

At its heart is an uncomfortable question: in a world desperately short of donor kidneys, does prohibition prevent exploitation or does it simply drive the trade underground?
